Melaleuca penicula is an Australian shrub. It has narrow, ovate leaves, and is 1.8–3 metres in height. It is primarily found in rocky or sandy areas.[3] It was originally described as a subspecies of Melaleuca coccinea by Kirsten Cowley in 1990 but later elevated to species rank by Lyndley Craven in 1999.[4]
